Citizen Engagement via Media and the Web On October 19th CITIZENshift will be officially launching their revamped Web site during the Festival du Nouveau Cinema (FNC) at the Society for Arts and Technology in Montreal. Join this collective media-jam by logging on to the site and sharing your opinions, art and media. CITIZENshift is a National Film Board of Canada Web site dedicated to citizen engagement and social change. Point your browser to http://citizen.nfb.ca for unique content from active citizens, independent filmmakers and multimedia artists. Voice your opinion or contribute creatively. Ideas for the community and classroom The Media Education: Make It Happen! program is a series of free resources to help educators understand and facilitate media literacy in their classrooms. The program consists of a booklet, PowerPoint workshop, and a facilitator's guide with handouts. Download the workshop and present it to teachers in your school or community.
